Dr. Richie Horowitz

Counselor, Group Leader, Camp Doctor

As a kid, Richie was known as a model camper, but as a counselor, he was one of the best. Every once in a while, you can think back on your years as a camper and reflect on that one counselor that you remember more fondly than the rest. Not every former camper can say that they had a counselor that made a difference in his or her life, but just about every camper who had Richie Horowitz as their counselor probably can. He led by example, rarely lost his temper and used the kind of psychology on his bunk that made you try extra hard not to disappoint him.

He was the winning Color War General against his brother Alan, which was the first time that brothers ever faced each other as Generals. He went on to become a Group Leader, and after a long absence, returned as the Camp Doctor when his own 3 children started coming to Tyler Hill Camp.
