Arlene Leibowitz

Camp Director



Arlene and her husband Al Leibowitz came to Tyler Hill Camp in 1974 along with their 3 children: Shari, Cali & Sean. When the camp was in a transitional period during the summer of 1991, Arlene joined her husband Al as the camp directors, a position which they both held until 2005. Arlene was a powerhouse when it came to speaking with the parents and ensuring that their children's summers were going to surpass all expectations. Working closely with the campers and counselors, she was on top of everything from homesickness to phone calls to meds, giving that extra special TLC to each and every one of us. Arlene was in and out of Wayne Hall all day long, running around camp to keep a close eye on the boys and girls. Her passion for Tyler Hill only added to her warm and nurturing relationship with the campers.
